AIDE is a 501-3c organization comprised of members that act as advocates and supporters of the independent funeral homes in Illinois. Most funeral homes are owned and operated by personnel not tied to public companies or large private enterprises. Their voice can often be overlooked, making them the silent majority.
AIDE actively seeks out members to participate in discussions and actions associated with improving the relevance and solvency of the independent funeral home. Though focused on the independent funeral professional, AIDE reaches out to a host of stakeholders in pursuing the best solution to an issue, removing barriers to cooperation and seeking win-win outcomes.
AIDE is action oriented and driven to implement solutions in as timely a fashion as possible. This often means focusing intensely on a limited number of initiatives.
AIDE is inclusive and prides itself on welcoming all to participate in its work.
We are committed to create an organization that integrates all licensed funeral professionals, whether it is the sole practitioner or the professional association, to create a mechanism to modernize funeral practices and policies while maintaining the traditional, old-world values of our profession.
AIDE is focused on adapting cutting-edge technology for improving a families' funeral experience while educating state and local governing bodies to update regulatory and oversigh capabilities.
